This video demonstrates the water flow process through a Zakki Filtration System. The system has a maximum water flow rate of 4500 GPH and has the potential of processing 1 1/2 lbs of 40% protein food per day.
This video demonstrates the changing dynamics inside a gravity fed sieve filter
Check out this great video This is 9500 GPH of water being showered down onto one of the media baskets filled with 2 cu ft of Cermedia MP2C. Notice how easily the water passes through the media instead of splashing around it like other ceramic medias.
This video demonstrates the Zakki Shower at 9500 GPS through a cutaway in the filter.
This is the only shower filter that works with gravity fed water supply, so the shower does not need to be elevated above the pond water level.
This video shows the example of the DracoDrum fitted with a Zakki Shower
The floating weir on this skimmer can not be pushed back by curious fish, so the risk of your fish ending up inside the skimmer is greatly reduced. Since the weir automatically adjusts to the correct flotation level based on water flow rate, the water surface gets skimmed efficiently all the time.

This biological filter's water flow was too slow so the string algae started to bloom due to the increase of ammonia. To fix this problem the water flow was increased but the Cermida still needed to be cleaned. To clean the media shaking it underwater to release the debris. To do this, fill two buckets of pond water. Shake the media in the 1st bucket, then drop the clean media into 2nd bucket until you are ready to transfer the media back to the biological filter.
