The lamp can be services without disturbing the seal on the quartz sleeve.
Due to the design of the clarifier all of the incoming water is exposed to the entire UV lamp for maximum exposure time.
The 4" union on the inlet of the clarifier allows for the incoming water to be perpendicular to the UV lamp
Here is a great example of the kind of custom UV Clarification work that we can provide. A customer needed a serious dose of UVC in a very small space.
They have 7000 GPH of water flowing through their moving bed filter and it returns to the pond through a 6" PVC return pipe under gravity flow.
That means the UV Clarifier needs to be very low restriction but it also needs to have enough dwell time to provide enough UVC radiation to eliminate the single celled green algae. We designed a 380 Watt system that uses our submersible UV lamps to provide the perfect solution to their problem.
